A. From any available source/website that you choose, you must find a short speech/video online. The video/speech can be no less than 1 minute, 45 seconds long and not more than 4 minutes, 45 seconds long. Yes, it can be an excerpt (or part) of a larger speech! The speech should illustrate what you consider to be an excellent delivery/presentation style. It can be a real speech or even an actor delivering a speech. However, it must be a public address to an audience, not merely a filmed conversation between two people or a small group (6-10).
B. Copy and paste the web address (URL) on your assignment so it is accessible to your instructor. For example, for the speech entitled “Procrastinate On Purpose: How To Multiply Your Time” on Youtube, You would paste the following web address: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2X7c9TUQJ8. Be sure that you paste the correct link or you will not receive credit!
C. Lastly, write a brief explanation as to why you chose the speech as an example of excellent delivery/presentation style: Your explanation must include concepts and terms from your text and/or lectures in order to receive full credit. Chapters / lectures on using language, delivery, visual aids and so forth should be particularly helpful; however, feel free to utilize any chapters you desire. Your explanation should be at least 500 words in length, but no more than 750 words. Yes, it is checked, so make sure you meet the word-count-criteria or you will not receive full credit.
