Review the information on parenting styles in chapter 10 of your textbook. Then post to this discussion forum, using the following guidelines:
Choose a parent that you know and describe his/her overall parenting style—is it authoritarian, authoritative, or permissive? Do not give any identifying information about that parent and child. In other words, do not give names or describe the nature of their relationship to you. Do give the approximate age of the child. And be sure to describe a specific example of an interaction between that parent and child that supports your opinion relative to parenting style. You might begin this way: “The parent I am describing is in her early 30s, and she has a son who is 10 years old.”
