Compare and contrast Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 first movement with the Haydn Surprise Symphony

Compare and contrast Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 first movement with the Haydn Surprise Symphony 2nd movement in the areas of theme, orchestration (instruments used) tempo and dynamics. Please list each selection separately then answer my questions about the required elements as they pertain to the selection.
Theme: A Theme is a melody used for the basis of a musical composition. It can be a full melody or even a simple repetitive motive. A countermelody is a contrasting secondary theme that is used to give variety to the composition. What are the characteristics of each melody? (smooth, choppy, large range, small range, repetition, changes from major to minor, etc.) How is the theme changed throughout the course of the composition? (This will be noticeable within the different variations of the Haydn and the Development section of the Beethoven. Consult your text book with the Listening Outlines for more specific information.)
Orchestration: What instrumental families are used in the composition? Is one instrumental family used more than others? Does the range of the instruments being played change throughout? (small, large, extremes)
Tempo: Is the tempo more Allegro, Andante or Adagio? Does the tempo change throughout or remain constant? Does the tempo impact the drama or emotion of the selection?
Dynamics: How do the dynamics change throughout the selection. Are there contrasting dynamic sections, or perhaps certain places where accents or the crescendo or decrescendo is particularly noticeable? How do the dynamics affect the emotion or drama of the selection.
Opinion: Which selection to you prefer and why.
