Consider how a television show constructs representations of race, gender, or sexuality.
Each response will be worth five percentage points of your final grade and should be approximately 400 words in length, and formatted using APA style guidelines. These short papers should make a genuine effort to engage the reading(s) from a given part of the course by highlighting an important concept and applying it to an example of your choosing.
Your reading responses will be evaluated on the following scale:
5-4 points: These responses make a genuine effort to address a key concept from a reading in a thoughtful and interesting manner. While these responses need not be perfectly written, they should generally follow APA style guidelines and evidence proofreading.
3-0 Points: These responses do not fulfill the basic requirements of the assignment in one or more of these ways: they do not devote sufficient time to a key concept from a reading, or fail to discuss an example in a meaningful way; or they are disorganized, or lack a coherent point; or they do not in any discernible way follow APA guidelines.
