Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to change or reinforce a listener’s attitudes, beliefs, values, or behavior effectively by delivering an argumentative speech to your audience. In an argumentative speech, your topic should have two sides and both sides should be acknowledged but you should convince the listener to agree with your side by using facts, statistics and other research. A minimum of two outside sources should be referenced to support your claim. An argumentative speech is similar to having a debate in class about a topic.
