* Write a crime scene report illustrating the work performed on your mock crime scene.
*Use the provided format as a guide. I have placed a blank template and a couple of redacted reports as examples in the Files folder under ‘CS report’. I realize that some of you may be accustomed to writing reports in a different format, but for the sake of grading ease please use this one.
*It is not necessary to use all of the sections provided in the report template – use only those that apply to your scene.
*Any conclusions included in the report should be based on objective observations, processing and analysis. No personal opinions or assumptions should be recorded in the report. It is recognized, of course, that the scenario is fictitious. So what is meant by this is, if in your notes and scenario you performed presumptive blood testing, then include that information and the ‘results’ in your report. You would not, however, state in your report that there was an AFIS match to fingerprints you collected as that analysis did not occur at the crime scene. Remember for the purposes of this practical, you are a crime scene analyst – not a veterinarian or other specialist.
*There is no page maximum or minimum for this assignment, but it should be thorough and provide all of the necessary information.
