Write paragraph one in the research proposal template. Be sure to use .org or a scholarly article .gov for statistics about the problem you are addressing and whom it affects, and what you will address in your proposal. End with the completed sentence that begins with “The proposed research will address … ” and say exactly what your topic is.
Part 2
Find and paraphrase at least two of the 7-10 scholarly articles you need. You can put this in a separate paper or make a Nurse Killan table like in the wiki folder, or put it in the Literature Review heading in the template above. Be sure to include the full references.
Note: Your proposal will require 10 sources with at least seven from scholarly peer-reviewed journals and up to three Find a list of 7-10 scholarly articles that appear helpful. The easiest way to do this is to go to the UC library database or to Scholar.Google.com and up to three .org or .gov sites that appear to have helpful information. You might find these doing a simple Google.com search if you like.

1. Write paragraph two to describe the population, sampling frame, and how you will identify participants in your study. How will you identify your sample? Would you use qualitative or quantitative methods? Will you do a focus group, interview, survey, or what? What do you want to find out from your sample (what do you need to know to answer your research question?
2. Write paragraph three of the introduction to describe your theory, what the theory says, and how it relates to the proposed study. This should be a formal theory such as Maslow’s hierarchy of need, role theory, socialization, exchange theory, or some other formal theory.
