Your next project will involve identification of an unknown bacterial strain

I WILL PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION !!
Your next project will involve identification of an unknown bacterial strain. For this project, it will be useful to organize your assays, notes, and observations generated when you were studying as a group 4 bacterial strains: Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, and Bacillus subtilis.
you selected one unknown bacteria and did an isolation streak to use for assays in week 10. You recorded the ID number of the bacteria to use for reference during the project. Lastly, you setup a Gram stain to determine Gram- type, shape, and arrangement. You should do an online search for identification flowcharts that may include your results. You are welcome to print one and bring to your lab session. This was also mentioned as part of your draft flowchart feedback.
ou set different tests based on your unknown’s initial characteristics. You want to have a small number of tests (max of 5) to make rather than doing all of them. This will ensure the results give you guidance rather become an obstacle for your identification.
For example, a student that had an unknown that was a Gram-positive cocci may decide to do tests that may be slightly different than a student with an unknown that was a Gram-positive rod. Please review and bring an initial set of ideas BEFORE your laboratory session.
If time permits, you will also have the opportunity to do phase contrast for your unknown if you believe it may help you in the identification process.
